Right - Sorry, I did not make myself clear. My previous L200 was a UK GL for work with extras like metalic paint and alloys. I do not need a bling vehicle as I buy them as working trucks. Having paid 17k for the above 1 and having it wrote off for 9.5k I would propose to spend 10 - 11 k, however, my budget is flexible - 1 of the benefits of being older, I guess.

A trucks a truck. Hope this is helpful. Don't mind a pre registered 1 either, as I am VAT registered. Do not intend to buy the new model as too expensive. Hey my kids R off to Uni - first ones away this week - expensive. I am genuine in my request and fully support this community site. Thanx 4 taking the effort people.

Forgot to mention - today John Lennon would have been 66 years old.

Dealer cars

Private cars

There not cheap for a workhorse are they! +vat too!

Did you manage to get all your goodies off of your scrapped one, hope so, then they can go on your new one.

Looks like it will be job to find similar to what you had for 9.5k.
I dont know where insurance companies expect us to buy cars from, robbers.

G'luck

If you are VAT registered you could try joining Makro:

http://www.makro.co.uk/ie/sub/store_locations.cfm?&news_menu=enabled

They do sell commercial vehicles but I can't get their home page to load
which should include that information. We receive their catalogue through
the post and they always have a commercial vehicle page.

Your right fixngrout - having gone thro my first ever write off it has left a bit of a sour taste, especially when the Insurance offrered my at first £7k, which I rejected.

It was always hoped to run the vehicle to get me thro' the kids Uni stage(and costs) for however umpteen years it took. I expect to find a like for like vehicle for around 11k and I will have to make up the shortfall unless the market place has 1 for less?

I will remove the CD, mats, and Ifor williams rear aluminium canopy box, and tow bar - they were all extras purchased seperately. Oh well, keep on trawling.

Well, just found a l200 4 work crew cab, pre registered 2006, 100 mls on clock, steel wheels. non ,metallic paint and windy down windows @ £10,450 + VAT. I can cope with that - tis new. Think I will go to the garage and kick its wheels and talk turkey this week unless something else pops up. Still open to any posts good people.

We received our Makro catalogue this morning and the site is:

However, your find might be the best deal. I always like to buy vehicles locally too, just in case anything goes wrong, where you will be able to kick more than the wheels. :giggle:
