from my research, it looks like it was a trial and if it proved popular, then it will be rolled out everywhere.
#2
It was only a trial, but since they added the icon to self serve tills hopefully it will be back..
#3
There was a message in the app 2 days ago saying that codes had ran out and more will be issued by Morrison's soon, but the message and all traces of the discount have now dissapeared.

Seems more likely that this has been pulled unfortunately.
#4
it has happened before disappeared from app when they ran out of numbers to issue, i'm guessing it's proving very popular and hopefully will be back soon like last time it happened.

Fingers crossed!! I've sent Unidays an enquiry to find out, will update if I ever receive a reply.

Gutted if true :(

10,000 codes will be released every Monday.

They seem to have had a communication break down about this.

Codes get released on a Monday when they are gone they remove the option of morrisons from the app. Was gutted yesterday as did a £70 shop and couldn't get the discount.. get your code on a Monday and save it if you shop later in the week as codes last a week before you need to use them
#10
they didn't release nay Monday at all was looking Monday all through the day no codes at all
#11
They had codes on Monday as I used one when I done a shop
#12
They said it was a 3 month trial. Didn't realise that there were limited codes.

UNiDAYS do not list Morrisons as a promoted retailer. If presumably they reappear on a Monday and allow you to generate a code on your telephone, how do you keep the code saved for seven days if the Morrisons option disappears later in the week? I would have thought I can copy the code as a sequence of numbers on paper or as a screenshot but recently Superdrug asked me to log in and out of the UNiDAYS app expressly to see that I am not showing them a screenshot for their 10% discount. Would Morrisons be happy just to be shown a code without going through logging onto the app and flicking through?

I just use the self serve, less hassle for unidays as it normally confuses or stresses the till assitance out.

Hope this is true. I had an email back from Unidays and it didn't say anything about this.....they said:
'Hi Stephen

Thank you for contacting UNiDAYS support.

Morrisons suspended their discount codes until further notice. We will let you know once the issue has been resolved.

Thanks,

I was told today by morrisons on fb there would be new codes issued on Monday...

Spoke to Morrisons staff in store today (used to work there) they said the normal tills were still set up for the discount and nothing circulated internally to say it had ended. Guess they might want to limit it as it costs them a lot. Screen shot your code and your verified ID just in case they ask, if and when they release more codes. But in theory all they need is the 6 digit code.

Was very miffed today as I shop on Fridays and no codes available. Will be checking daily to save myself a code and hopefully the other supermarkets will do something as well.

10,000 codes per week? Seems an utterly bizarre way of doing things. Did they not think that most people shop at the weekends? Last time I went in with a code the assistant said the tills couldn't accept the code, only self-service could. Don't know why they've made it so hard on themselves.

Of course they did. That's exactly what they want - shoppers to talk about it, hear about the offer, and then go at the weekend when it's not actually on. This is good for them - they don't benefit by actually giving the 10% discount, only by the customers brought in with the hope that they can get it; and who is going to bother giving up at the checkout on a £60+ 2-hour shop because they can't find the student code on Unidays?

Have been checking the Unidays app and no codes as yet. Morrisons still have not been added as a promoted retailer despite their reassurances on Facebook that they would do this by Monday, i.e. today.

Still nothing. Kinda weird, I'd planned a shop around their assurances of Monday. Not a big deal, but still quite annoying.
#22
Yes. I planned a shop too on their assurance of codes put on today. I looked at 9.3oam and no codes were added, not a massive deal although i do feel disappointed in Morrisons.
#23
I did say earlier that Unidays advised that Morrison's had suspended the promotion until further notice.

If it was a fixed allocation per week then surely Unidays would have known about this, and they would be back today.

Don't think this will be coming back
#24
most likely that morrisons have realised how much of a discount they are shedding out at this time of year. No doubt it will be back in January, after the big Christmas shop and just in time for the next round of student finance payments.
#25
I have just had this response from unidays

Thanks for contacting UNiDAYS Support.

Due to higher than expected performance, Morrisons and UNiDAYS have needed to pause this promotion. We are working together to resolve the matter so that this promotion can be live again soon. Watch this space!
I wonder if the press realise that they have suspended the discount as they were heralded in a big way when they launched it!
#26
As a checkout team leader, we haven't been told anything about the codes going out of circulation etc however we have told operators not to accept screenshots of codes as the company had issues with this and people misusing the student discount - which has been the only thing I have had from head office regarding the uni days discount
#27
Looks like its reappeared as a 48 hour only offer!
#28
Just take your student id card to the co-op. Never runs out and they are open longer than Morrisons
#29
I do for milk etc, most other things are still more expensive at the co-op even after discount unfortunately.
#30
Nightmare each time I've tried to use it. I bought it specifically for this and it slows you down, staff get impatient and sometimes it's there, sometimes not. I got the same response, 'due to popular demand is not currently available but they're looking to resolve the matter'. Not word for word but you get the gist. Self check out is less pressured for sure - when it works that is!

any update on the codes?
#32
Nope!!
#33
From unidays

"Thank you for contacting UNiDAYS support.

Sorry, but the Morrisons LTO has ended :( We'll keep you posted with any new and exciting offers from this Partnership"

Really frustrating as it was available again randomly in the week!
#34
I think they simply realized that more people using it than just students, their family could use codes of their children at self checkout , I believe if it continue all country will use them, and option is available because codes could be generated every 15 minutes I think so really somebody could generate them at home every 15 minutes and save so many as screenshot and until today have genuine valid codes.
