Motherboard & Processor

Looking to buy a motherboard and processor bundle, no RAM needed as I have just bought some.

I am prefferably looking to spend £150.

Needs to be Quad core and the motherboard can take a ATI graphics card and 4gb of DDR3 1333mHz RAM.

Also prefferably AMD.

Thanks so much!

What are you looking for? A midrange board with SATA3 and USB 3 will only leave you enough for an Athlon II x4 640 but plenty of expandability.
On the other note you could buy a low end board and a Phenom II x4 955BE.

If your mainly gaming then a low end board and Athlon II x3 450 will leave you more cash to throw at a better graphics card.

Well your looking at an entry level m-atx motherboard as after the cost of the processor it wont leave you cash to buy anything else. You wont get any features at this level just make sure it has support for 125w cpu (some only support 95w).

You can get a more featured board (you will want SATA3 and USB3 at some point) at a later date. The good news is AM3 processors will work in AMD's upcoming AM3+ specification meaning you can buy an AM3+ motherboard and just use your 955BE and then move up to an AM3+ processor at a later date.
