Can anyone recommend a good free music player app on Android?

It's going to be used mainly for streaming music to the car that's stored on the phone and must have an easy to use shuffle option.

Tried VLC but it's strangely clumsy and the shuffle option doesn't always appear and it sends a paused signal to the car (phone fine as Deezer works ok).

Many thanks!

Spotify is free you only play for the pro version and you can use the app on your phone as a control for the app on dab radio, ps4 ,pc if you have it on any of those

I've tried loads, Black Player also gets my vote, it's eq is particularly good compared to others, very nice UI.

Spotify is good for streaming, but the free service on phones only has shuffle playback.

Another one for Poweramp.

I did not believe the claims and reviews saying it made music sound better, but it actually does.

Also one of the better user interfaces as well.

go online and type in fildo. when it takes you on to the site there is a download link lower down the page. it is quite small and between 2 other links so be careful where you tap.
it basically gives you any song and they go straight into your music player app

whats wrong with the free Google Music app that comes on the phone?
Allows playback of locally stored media or stream your own collection after uploading to google Music
Decent shuffle mode, playlists and random play widget....

I'll need to check that out also if Deezer supports local media

Also If you happen to have Amazon Prime you also get access to Amazon's basic music streaming service, around 2 million free tracks to stream.
