I was going to say , Poundland last year were selling a "Y" connector for charging things up from USB . It had the miniUSB aswell as the round plug . I bought 2 and gave one away , it charged up a TomTom with the round plug and a host of other things but I mainly used the USB connector . Wish I bought more . It would have been ideal for your needs .
Dont get rid of the Navigo , fix a new socket on it . I've changed these things on laptops when the pin broke . It'll be easier to fit a new one as there will be only 2 wires to solder . It's a little more difficult for the USB socket .
If your stuck ..................send it to me .

I've got a V1 and my charger broke (had to change the fuse in my car 3 times before I realised it was that!) It now seems to work fine through the mini usb socket, although I think the battery is a bit fried as it only works when plugged in.

EHHH !................I did a clicky on your link and got ...............

Bay.co.uk
Culinary and medicinal guide to herbs and spices.

no mention of sockets on here :-)

sticking an 'e' in front of the bay in your linky takes me to a page no longer available . So, I still cannot see the type of socket your ordered.
But , Maplin do a range of plugs and sockets, I buy quite abit of stuff of them.
I would take it apart first and de-solder the socket so you can get the right match . Theres loads of different pin sizes with these things ,so make sure you get the right one to match your charger.
Anyway ,hope you fix it ,there smashing little satnavs.
