Where abouts did you want to stay? hotels range from £150 too £800 depending on the brand, area, features.

we say out in the Regents Park area recently and Swiss cottage tube has great access but it depends what you'll be doing in London really.

Next to central london will be nice; Not really bothered with attractions but access to tube will be useful

check out travelodge..usually some offer and can stay 2 nights for around £45. Uxbridge/Wembley.. all
will take you to the city within 25 minutes. I have stayed in Uxbridge and its right outside the station.

The hotels in the square mile area are going cheap at the moment as not many businessmen travelling during this time. St Paul's/Bank area - well served by tube links. Also Stratford Olympic park hotels are good - the holiday inn there is good and free breakfast or the Stay Bridge Suites are good and once again well served by transport. The Travelodge at Covent Garden is even selling at 90 a night.

Thanks all and thanks for this deal.

The reason that is cheap is they have the builders in and areas of the hotel are closed.

This is a brilliant youth hostel, right across the road from the British Museum/St. Pancras/ King's Cross, so you'd save money on travel. The family rooms in December are about £125 for a night (up to four people), but drop to £95 for a four bed family room in January. Try your voucher. £3 a night off if you're a YH member, as well.
Depends how old your child is (over 11 they can stay in a single sex dorm room with one of you, under 11 must be in a family room) from £20 a night per person.

I stayed there in the summer and it was brilliant. Six-bed rooms (dorms), ensuite, very clean quiet and comfy, and couldn't be more central. Cheap food, too.
