I need the best laptop for my daughter going to uni but can afford about £350. Any offers anyone

I wouldnt go near an Acer with my worse enemy's money, ive got one and its so bad its sitting in a cupboard and my mate aint exactly impressed by his Acer either......... Both of us were previous dell users and found them much better

try the hp laptop in tesco. its great for the money

Well depends on what she wants to use it for!! No point buying the biggest for the buck if its just for writing up and doing uni work. Have a look at the likes of Bigpockets.co.uk and ebuyer, or tesco instore, haggle with the manager!!! . I always felt that at Uni you would rather have a cheap All in one printer as well, with cheap inks, a web cam etc etc. I mean if your full and final budget is £350, then look at something that is well below that and go for other added bits like a case etc etc!! I always felt it was handy to have a webcam, printer scanner and a bag, maybe a high capacity USB disk or even some blank discs!! My 2c ...

oh and bigpockets have a USB freeview tuner for £9.99 as well, a big uni fav!! no hassle!!
