I think age concern maybe able to help but I'm sure you need a phone line and there is a monthly fee I think on all of them whoever installs/runs it

Hope it helps

Contact age UK, they're probably put you in touch with a local trust worthy installer, and they may also be able to help with cost if your mum is entitled to any help.

Ask your local council about a lifeline alarm. It attaches to the telephone line and you mum would wear a pendant or bracelet around her neck/wrist -f she was in trouble she could push the button on pendant and speak out to a box which is attached to the telephone line. This will connect to operator who will ring yourself, police or an ambulance, some councils charge per month and others will supply for free. Do let her telephone provider know if she does get one so they can put her in more priority support helpline if no dial tone or problems with the telephone line

you can buy outright your own phone that dials a list of preprogrammed numbers with a neck pendant alarm.
or you can rent one which go's to a manned call centre who ring you or emergency services etc
ring local council and ask.

Social service can also help with Telecare which needs landline phone to install as above.
