chilternrailways.co.uk are always the cheapest for me. journey would be train specific though

When do you need them for?

The east coast trains website is the easiest site in my opinion to find cheaper fares because of the way its laid out as opposed to many others which arnt very easy to use or see the best fares across a range of times / routes

MarzBarz,

Give a rough time/date when you want to travel and we'll see who can provide the lowest price.

Cheers

£70 first glance, but will look again (June 23 / July 1 - Slough to Manch)

EDIT: Scrap that, £15 each way London Euston - Preston or Manchester Pic. Various options for dates/times for travel

Check out http://www.farefinder.virgintrains.co.uk/ (and enter station and dates)

London - Manchester. Virgin Mobile Tix for cheapest option. You can pick up tickets for Manchester - Preston for approx a fiver each if you book ahead now. Check thetrainline.com for the other parts of the journey and note the operating train company. Consider booking direct to avoid booking fees.

aSB ....

its coming back at £16 each way from LE to MP so by using the main site as i suggested you save a little. Your option does not let you travel on the dates OP is asking. Nice link though, saved in Bookmarks ;-)

Yeah, just watch out re the fares you posted. Not sure what the telegraph promo is all about. Might check vouchers/deals, if posted for conditions.

haha! enjoy i went thorpe park about a month a go. Quick tip go to the park about 8am and queue up early. So then quickly go on the most popular rides i.e stealth and saw.

Well we will be getting there around that time, but cos I've booked with lastminute.com for the tickets we need to collect them rather than printing them off here.. so waste a bit of time but we'll be there waiting! Just hope it's not that packed...
