Need to buy about 50 really cheap usb sticks

I could do with getting about 50-60 usb sticks for pupils to use at school. The size and speed are not really an issue as they'll only be saving word and powerpoint files with maybe a few pictures so even 64MB or 128MB will do. I was hoping to get some for a couple of quid each but so far my googling has let me down.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You sometimes get bulk sellers on ebay...search "usb sticks" and then search "highest first" sometimes you might get 50 or 100 from China for a good price.

Thanks all, I'm not sure that the school will be too pleased about spending a few hundred quid on eBay or Deal Extreme unfortunately. I really hoped that with 4GB drives starting at about £5 that smaller ones would be cheaper, but I think I was wrong.

I was looking for the ame thing for my students this term.
All I could get was around £4.45 each, with 2GB storage.
All the smaller ones have disappeared from retailers.

Have you tried promotional suppliers, you might get something small like a 512mb or less, ofton they are just big enough to contain a few promotional files

Tried to get a few quotes from some at work today, but they still seemed to work out at about £5 each

How about joining up with a local business to get their branded ones distributed at your school, a bit of 'free' advertising for them.

That's a great idea, unfortunately, we're a bit out in the sticks so I don't think they'll be anybody willing to help us out. Thanks anyway.

Have you tried contacting a supplier on Amazon?

Why not put out an appeal to the local business estates/forums/orginisation, see if anyone has any bulk they ones the would like to donate/sell cheap, they were popular about 2 year ago and but they were only ever small, im sure someone must have a load surplus...i always used to get them from boring conferences...maybe try the conference centres
