i overslept this morning as my alarm on my phone either didn't go off or didn't wake me - which then meant the kids were late for their first day back at school :-(
so i desperately need a good loud alarm clock lol
does anyone know of any good ones for a good price at the moment? thanks

my kids went back yesterday, so today 2nd day, and me and son both woke at 8-55am, and my alarm had been going off since 8am

I find too mellow noises dont wake me up, too upbeat music agressive music puts me in a foul mood for a good half day.. but im using my mobile atm and set on vibrate next to my pillow. perhaps that might help? alternatively have a light or heat switching on when u need to wake up :) flashing lights might do the trick.

P.s. off topic completely but..... whats "rep points?" i have 185.. and no idea why ive got them.

my alarm is away form the bed due to the fact i used to keep pressing snooze and when it really peed me off i would turn it off and then fall back to sleep, now the prolem it wakes me, but i dont get up to turn it off and pull quilt over head and fall back to sleep, so it stays going and doesnt wake you because you go to sleep hearing it

P.s my alarm cllock was something like a fiver 20 year ago - lol But boy is pees me off, its a horrible noise, but dont stop me sleeping with it on

I got the daddy of alarm clocks a while back. Its called the Sonic Bomb alarm clock. Imagine an air raid siren going off and a bed shaker under the matress and thats it. Still manage to reach for the snooze button most mornings though!

I've heard the Phillips Wake Up Light is supposed to be very good. Quite expensive for £70 (cheapest), but I've been looking in to getting one as my alarms don't wake me up and I'm tired most of the day as well. May be a good one to put on the Christmas List though?!

Bought it on firebox. Is £30 but used the £5 off voucher. It does have a volume switch but it is real loud on the lowest setting.
