Hi All,

My in laws want to buy us a netbook for xmas (not essential it arrives in time). They have a £200 budget, so can anyone point me in the direction of the best deal?

Dell outlet seems to have 1011's for £134.37 plus Vat and delivery... but i've heard they are slower than NC10's etc and i should be looking at getting something with a N270 or N280 processor?

I'm not very tech savvie, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Right...

the MSI is instock at my local argos and bang on budget

Currys have the NC10 for £226.05

Comet have N130 for £212 delivered

All have the same processor, XP, 160gb HD, 1gb Ram etc - only difference seems that the N130has wireless N (i have an N router at home)

Are the Samsungs worth the extra money? if so which one?

bought the msi from argos the other month. it also has wireless n and comes with 2 year warranty, but the battery life isn't so great...if you want to use it for more than a couple of hours unplugged youll need to buy a bigger battery (cheap on ebay), and they are also slightly fatter than most other netbooks, although (in my opinion) their curves make them look alot better.

Thanks for the info, just reserved to go collect from argos. - i have £7.50 on my nectar card so £192 sounds good especially if it has wireless N. Not fussed about battery as it won't leave the house
