If you want to do more than 3-4 things that u said all at once, the netbook may struggle. The Atom cant multi task like a core2duo.
If size is important to you, go for the netbook. But if you are keeping on a desk all day and rarely take it around a cheap 15.4/15.6" laptop will be a better long term buy although you will spend considerably more.

No no no, not all at once mate.... the machine just needs to be able to cope with these functions, ie be able to watch videos on youtube, be able to run the facebook games etc....

Oh & price is set, max £150 so that rules out laptops.

I'm no expert but if you're only willing to spend 150 quid i doubt you'll have the luxury of many options to choose from.

how about a re-con from big pockets, you will get a full laptop for that price, and you can easily upgrade them at a later date if required

I was being helpful making a point you're not likely to get anything half decent for less than 200 quid.

How rude are you:w00t:

Search on here for Acer Aspire One and try to find one of the bargains that hasn't yet expired. Probably the best for the budget. I've got one and it does all that you've mentioned - at the same time too!

Both these look good, think id rather stick with Windows OS, purely as were used to using it.... The Packard Bell one is tempting.... Can anyone give me any reasons for choosing one over the other ? Tad more than i wanted to spend, but could be accomodated at a push...lol
