Netflix problem

£0.00 @ Netflix
I'm watching a box set on Netflix and when it automatically starts the next episode 5 minutes in it starts to fade as if powering Down. And repeats every 5 minutes. How can I turn this off?

Could be helpful if you let people know what device you're watching Netflix on. Not had this issue myself.

maybe it's the TV powering down with a power save setting?

It's a laptop. It happens when using silver light player. It used to happen the same on nowtv. If I select the next episode myself it doesn't do it.

Do that then.

Never had that happen on either on my android devices or chromecasts.
Try clearing the cache on the device.

its a power setting most likely. can either change screen off time or try another web browser. I'd use chrome and see if that helps. could also try the netflix app from the marketplace if running windows 8/10

Might sound daft but are you sure it's not the laptop going into power saving mode after 1 hour? As most episodes are around 55 mins so 5 mins into next episode would be 1 hour

No it shows me a warning when it gets to 10%. It's windows 8. Last time I was on Netflix it didn't use silver light but now it does. Does it on other laptop too.

Sounds like your screen saver kicking in after 1 hour and dimming the screen. does it come back when you move the cursor?

I don't have a screen saver. It happens every 5 minutes only when it's come to the next episode and auto played. If I select the next episode myself it doesn't dim.
