I had some from the post office in deepest darkest depths of The Wash in South Lincolnshire, we are lucky to have electricity - so its quite an excitement to have plastic notes!

I got 4 from a Natwest machine in Newcastle earlier today. Also got one in my change from tesco self checkout the other day.

I have 4. The serial numbers on them are in sequence. The numbers on there end in 44,45,46 and 47. I don't want to spend them!

I got 2 yesterday out of my local Tesco express cash machine.

Simple answer is they have been put in some , but not all yet. There are less ATMs that dispense £5 notes than £10 & £20's , but it won't be long before they are in all of the ones that hold £5. The reason less ATMs have £5 in them is that the cassettes that are used to fill them have limited space and as such run out faster if £5 notes are used in them. Have no idea where the poster got his info that they are only in 6 locations as that's totally wrong.

So weird when you first get hold of one, they don't feel like you would expect!

They remind me of the tracing paper bog roll we had at school in the 80s!
