i am an original apple "fanboy" i own everything apple. i left the apple watch first series as i didn't believe it would be any good until 2nd gen. i bought the nike plus edition before xmas and to be 100% honest i am not impressed. battery is around 2 days for me but saying that gym doesn't start till next week so expect that to drop when i use its fitness tracking more, but on the whole i am very underwhelmed with it saying its a £400 watch build quality is excellent but as a smart watch its good but not amazing. its a nice to have not a need to have. hope this helps

A lot of people love the Apple Watch and a lot of people buy one and don't get on with it. You will not know which you are until you get one. Personally I went for series 1 as I did not need the extra features of the series 2 and I am happy with mine. Good luck

No.

I bought one at the end of September, the stainless steel series 2 model. I haven't worn it for a good while now and will look to sell it in the new year.

Like stevelo1973, I am a 'fanboy' and am locked into their ecosystem, but I feel this product is not for me.

I agree. I bought for my daughter and she never gets round to wearing as its always being charged. Doesn't really do much but it is a nice watch.

If you dont need GPS better off with series 1 which has the same new processor

The only things you gain on the V2 model is waterproofing, as opposed to spashproof on V1, and GPS. The later models of the V1 has had a processor upgrade so are better than the early V1's.
As a V1 owner I would not upgrade as I don't swim with a watch and don't need the gps.

I had the original Apple Watch in stainless steel bought for my birthday when they first came out. Because I did not pay for it, there was no buyers remorse. Instead I grew to really like it and couldn't imagine not having one. I upgraded to a s2 stainless steel and to be honest the cost to change was not worth it. I did my own comparison running watch os3 on both models and the speed difference was negligible. I would strongly recommend you buy a cheap 1st gen (not necessarily s1) maybe even 2nd hand - I think you could grab a real bargain.

I should add the only reason I kept the s2 was because it was 42mm whereas my previous was only 38mm and I wanted the bigger one.

if you are a runner even the AW2 is useless compared to a garmin

overpriced posing toy.

I do love it for health and fitness reasons, although battery life could be longer, but that is why I got it for my health , It has helped me to lose so much weight

If your an apple person ie mac iphone etc then only the apple watch will do. Like all electronics made by apple the iwatch is superior to its competitors. If your used to using android or one of the others every day save yourself a few quid and look for a cheaper smartwatch

I personally couldn't justify the price difference for a series 2.

I have the 1st gen model, 38mm (I didn't like the 42mm) which I picked up for around £130 many months ago and I can't live without it now. I am not an Apple fanboy but it is very well made in my option compared to other smartwatches. The amount of times mine has been knocked hard or under water is a fair amount and it's never caused any issues.
