Hi guys, I've also joined the bandwagon and decided to join and try to find myself a decent lap top !!! Hope you can help.

I am open to suggestions regarding brands i.e. Dell or Acer etc - would like Dell but not sure what I'll get !

The main uses for the laptop would be using Dreamweaver 8, Open office, watching DVD's, downloading and browsing. I think that's my main list so not after a gaming machine. Not sure whether to go with a 15.4 or a 17" widescreen model.

I think that's it for now, hope to get some decent advice !! Oh and obviously the lower the price the better !!!! Many thanks

thanks for the reply. Do you know if you can upgrade to vista home premium and if so is it expensive ?!!!

warnie, Premium isnt an option with this deal for some reason though Ultimate is. You could phone your order in and ask for Premium but that will loose you the quidco cashback.

Thanks Mike, I think I may hold out for another of your good finds ! I don't really want Business. Apart from that it looks a stunning piece.

I did like the look of the Acer Aspire 9301 AWSMi but not sure if a Dell would be a better option !

After reading the other Acer thread I did indeed go for the 5685 so thanks for the help guys. I didn't want to spend as much but considering what you get I thought it was worth it.

I also got a free Belkin case off the guy for free so that saved £35 !!! Nice result !

Make sure u claim ur Vista upgrade, they charge like £14 delivery but better than paying £100 odd for it. Does look like its gonna take a while do get delivered tho
