My wife's laptop is slowly grinding to a halt since we bought it back in 2008. Unfortunately, since we bought an unbranded one from Malaysia, we can't take advantage of any of the trade-in deals so far.

Basically poking around for a new Sandy-Bridge based laptop that I can purchase either on a 12 mth interest free plan or an installment payment plan (don't see too many of those in the UK though)

Brand: Preferably Sony (don't ask me why...)
Purpose: Day to day use and photo editing
CPU: Preferably Sandy Bridge-based or a Core i5.
HDD: Not fussy since the general standard seems to be about 300GB
Screen: Up to 15.6
Graphics: Happy with integrated

Misco are your best bet for a UK laptop finance deal.

They offer buy now pay later 6 and 12 month deals, but these do incur a 'service charge' of either £35 or £45- so not exactly interest free- however, it's a pretty decent option.

They also offer a 2yr deal worked out on 19.9%APR.

Their base prices are pretty competitive too:
