Hi, i'm looking to get tv, internet and phone, what are the best deals for new Virgin Media customers? I have looked on the website and it all looks quite standard and what they offer when you call them is even less. Are they not desperate for business any more? any help appreciated.

Give them a call and tell them that Sky are going to give you a +box free and other bits and bobs and see what they have to say.
#3
are they not doing the '3 for £30' and '2 for £20' deal any more?

i called them and they said the V+ box was £99 and wouldn't budge :( all i got offered were the basic packages at a higher price than the ones advertised on their website!!

tink3862 - did you ask for anything in particular when you called?

You could try Zavvi, when I went instore they were selling virgin media deals very cheap.
I think a lot depends on who you speak to on the phone.

I hope you won't regret it. I only saw your entry now. I'd stay away from VM. There customer service (after you signed) is dreadfully aggressive. They say their broadband is unlimited but it's not true. You get reduced speed when you download a lot (watch TV, etc.). You will probably have only 1mb or less on the 2mb (M) package. TV is mainly freeview channels plus Linving TV and Challange (no Sky). The telephone service is also very expensive. You can get UK and Europe calls for 1p per minute on a BT line, whereas VM charges 20p per minute for Europe. You should look into this within the next seven days because you can cancel the deal (within 7 days) if you find that it doesn't suit you.
