The wife and I went last April did trip that included these places.

We booked all our hotels through www.priceline.co.uk and www.hotwire.com , we used www.betterbidding.com to do the background into the areas and xones for the bidding and I must admit we were not disappointed one bit.

Hotels we got were:

Morgans - on Madison Avenue in New York
Sheraton at LA
Hyatt Regency in San Francisco

For Vegas we booked direct with www.billslasvegas.com probably one of the cheapest on the strip but also a very nice place what I would call cheap and cheerful - if you tell them you are on honeymoon you will probably get a room overlooking the Belaggio Fountains - we did and it was great and meant more money for the gambling!!! - However it is your honeymoon so you might want to pay a bit more for one of the more classier hotels and again you can use the hotwire and priceline sites to try and make your money stretch further. I would also recommend taking in a show - we went to see Kevin James & Ray Romano so stand up as we are huge fans fo king of queens and everybody loves raymond - we also heard that Terry Fator was a good show but we didn't see so I can't comment personally on that one.

As for car hire we booked cars through thrifty - not sure if they have any mustangs but worth a look, there is a good price comparison website we used to check prices - if I remember it I will let you know.

Finally a tip from me is for your money out there get yourself a www.fairfx.com currency prepaid Mastercard - if you deposit £500 first time there are no charges and they only charge $2 per ATM withdrawal and nothing else for purchases etc - also it is fully top uppable online and funds are usually on the card within 24 hrs meaning you can control the risk as to how much you have on it at anyone time - I also found at the time fairFX were one of if not best for exchange rate.

If you need any further info etc don;t hesitate to PM me and I will answer what I can - not an expert but we thouroughly enjoyed our time at all of the places you are going - we also took in Boston and Niagara Falls, which if you could do I would recommend Niagara epecially for you Honeymoon - internal flights can be really cheap.

we went to new york in may and stayed at the waldorf astoria, try it on the hilton website, the deal was really pretty good, especially for a top hotel, alternatively try travelzoo, or expedia.com.au it must be the australian site as they are cheaper!!!

Not sure I can help you massively as we only had 2 nights on our tour so we didn't get to explore too far, we stayed on the candian side at the Sheraton Falls View, it is a bit further up than the other hotels but we quite liked the walk (only a couple of mins) and the view we had was brilliant - think we booked through Hotwire after checking the betterbidding site to make sure we got the right one and then when we checked in we were offered a falls view room for a few extra quid a night, which was well worth it imo.

The only other tip I would give for Niagara Falls (but probably doesn't apply to you if driving) is if you fly into Buffalo and don't want to be ripped of by the extortionate taxi rates (as much as $80 each way from memory). We got the bus for about $1-$2 each to the rainbow bridge and then we walked across the bridge suitcases and all - it was awesome to walk across and see thew view - I could have stood there all day - and then got a taxi at the other side to the hotel for about $10-$12.

Yes I am from Bradford and Northern and economical with the cash - but alas I don;t have the flat cap and the whippet!!!

I like your version - will have to use that next time :-D

It was Thrifty that we found cheapest using their pre-pay site at this link: http://prepaid.thrifty.co.uk/

best to shop around first though to make sure try www.carhire3000.com and www.carrentals.co.uk there are loads more - I think from memory this is how we found Thrifty to be cheapest but booked direct for extra security and confidence.

Hope that helped - we rented a sebring convertible and whilst it was a bit on the big side it was superb. We hired one in San Fran and drove down the coast to big Sur and back and then we hired again in San Diego and drove to Las Vegas...it was great.

Hope you find a good price and you enjoy your trips.
