Heading to NYC in May - does anyone know where the best place to buy a 3 day New York Pass is, or even if it is worth buying.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

http://www.newyorkpass.com/index.asp ----- seems to give you access to numerous major attractions, and also skip the lines.

I have used the pass in New York twice with my son - once in July when the powerboats were running - and i also used it for helicopter discount, waxwork museum, empire state building, statue of liberty, museums and again in February (no speedboats running, but ice skating in central park)
It was good value, the priority queue jumps were good for the speedboats (Circle sightseeing Beast starts again in may) and waxworks. We also popped past Planet Hollywood every day to either eat (with $10 discount) or pick up a souvenir. You can get your moneys worth. I found it was great just to know we could see all those attractions whether we wanted to or not - without worrying about hitting our current budget, and when we went to the top of empire state in the morning it was foggy - so we could go again the next day!

There is also City pass - the poorer cousin of the new york pass http://www.citypass.com/city/ny.html?id=B6MhDCJw

Terrific card.. you can buy them directly from Planet Hollywood too.

The circle line was operating when I went in March.

Bit of a tip, if you go up the Empire State Building, use the NYP downstairs at the news stand, then go straight up to the sky ride (a 3d moving cinema style ride) and use the NYP to go on that.

It meant we took about 50 minutes to get to the top.. including the 30 minute sky ride. The queue if we hadn't had the pass and done that was expected to take 2 hours.
