helloo I need some help pls..I bought a suit for my husband from next store (full price ) and have lost the reciept and now my husband wants to return it because he doesn't like it... i know without the reciept they won't refund the money but can i get a gift card for it? which I can use online. I don't want next refund card as it can only be used in stores not online.
Thanks

If you do not have a receipt, we may, at our discretion offer an exchange to the value of the current or most recent selling price. This does not restrict your rights to return faulty items with proof of purchase.

Items in a multi-buy offer, returned without a receipt, will be exchanged at the lowest multi-buy price or the most recent selling price, whichever is the lower.

I suggest you go in store and speak to them! No harm in asking the question to see what they'll offer you, you may be pleasantly surprised. Good luck!

If u paid by card show proof and they may refund u on that x

Just be decent about it, dont march in there with your 'I want to speak to a manager' attitude. Should get a better chance

I understand each item has an individual code ie not 1234 for say shoe style 1 but each shoe style 1 pair will have an individual code. They introduced this to avoid people returning items bought with staff discount and then receiving a refund at full value.

For you this means they can track how you paid for the item.

Re my comment above, not sure if they will honour it. I'd strongly advise saying you want to return the item for a refund and NOT mention receipt unless they ask.

I stand to be corrected, but isn't a copy of a bank statement allowed as 'proof of purchase!? Doesn't have to actually be the receipt.

Although I'd be surprised if you got a refund - it's up to individual stores if it's not faulty. Gift card at best I'd say.

I was told in store probably a couple of years ago when returning sale items without a receipt that it was not a problem. The sales assistant informed me that each barcode was unique and when scanned indicated where and when purchased and the method of payment ie card number.
Apologies if this system is no longer in operation but this is what I was informed in my local branch.

This is the system I was referring to but you described it better. It's still in place

I know sale items are easily returned if ordered online or if returning with reciept but I bought this at pull price and in store

Why don't you ring ahead and explain your scenario. That may help you decide which option to pursue when you finally go in store x
