hi all,
I'm looking to get a nexus 7 and wondering if it's still pretty good at keeping up with day to day tasks, games etc. I know it will have been updated to marshmallow, but wondering if it would be feeling old by now

many thanks

My Nexus 7 2013 is my only tablet and it feels like a 2016 one. It's quicker than any of the Fire HD tablets I've used and has no bloatware on it.

It's an excellent tablet.

Hi Wayne, I have upgraded from the 1st gen to 2nd about 3 months ago and find it very quick and responsive on marshmallow.I spent a lot of time looking at 7 and 8 inch tablets and reading reviews and am still pleased with it. I use it every day for general browsing/shopping/social networks and email.

Agreed. I can't seem to make the transition from laptop to tablet though! Any tips?

My Nexus 7 2013 has started to have problems, at times it won't boot, or screen orientation is messed up, won't charge. I wouldn't recommend unless it's a steal of a price.

Just bought a 32GB from Argos outlet on eBay reconditioned with 12 months warranty looks and feels brand new, the 2GB memory makes a big difference over my old 2012 N7, they are sold out at the moment, but I kept checking and seem they get them in in batches.

Nothing has been updated far enough to make any reasonably recent tablet incapable of coping with any task, so you're perfectly safe with this. I'm on my 2nd as the first one was killed by the Lollipop bug. I liked it enough to stick with it even after that.
One thing to note is that it isn't getting the Nougat update.
