it has wireless built in but you can use a wire

no you don't need anything if you already have a router, you may need to purchase the internet channel if you want to surf, but other than that it is already up and running, if you don't have a router you can buy a nintendo wifi dongle or there are some that are really cheap from deal extreme,

If you only have wired, you will need to buy an adapter, either for your comp so the wii can connect wirelessly, or an ethernet adapter so the wii can connect wired.

Online isnt very good btw so if your buying a wii just to play online, thats a very bad idea.

stick to a 360 for online

a wii is much better having mates round and making a fool of yourself

i think deathtrap meant surfing online on the browser because thats very slow and annoying. mariokart online is great if a little slow to get going!

No i meant playing games online. Its like playing shadowrun with bots, or even any game with bots. Not very fun.

The browser is actually quite good for a console.
