Don't buy one of those Disc cleaners - the majority will make it worse.

Just take it into Game / Gamestation / Chips, and ask them to clean it. It'll cost a max of £3 and will probably end up good as new...

Or try CEX

Saying that, I know that one of my local Cash Generators had it in for a tenner a few weeks ago.... Check out places like Cash Generators, Cash Convertors, and all the game shops... they may have one.

Someone on the radio last week suggested mayonnaise for sorting out scratched discs. Rub some on and wipe straight from the inside out - not circular. I haven't tried it, so make no promises, but what's to lose.

Have you tried contacting Nintendo and explaining what's happened. My daughter broke a Playstation game disc a few years ago and, as I recall, Electronic Arts replaced it for postage costs. Would have thought that Nintendo might well do the same.

Worth a shot,Nintendo repaired our DS when it was 18mths old and didn't charge a thing, they sent prepaid label,I dropped it off at p.o and come back really quick, not a penny cost to me.

The machines can do any disc media... Takes about 3 minutes, and is good as new afterwards :)
