It depends what you are looking for, just a DS on it's own you should be able to get for around £70 either from John Lewis (£74 with the £25 off £75 in the voucher section - currently out of stock through) or you could look at second hand where you would expect to get one for around £70-75.

However the high street deals are pretty good. £109 for a console with a top (29.99) game. Or Toys r us (£109 console, Top game + accessories pack)

One option if you're thinking about your finances is Littlwoods. They are overpriced (£140) with a game, but with vouchers etc you can get it down to a reasonible price and pay it off at £2.49 a week (52 weeks) interest free.

If you're looking for a storming deal then you might have to wait around for a while, as I dont think there are any at the moment.

Be careful about internet sites you'v never heard of offering "too good to be true" deals, there are a few DS scam sites about at the moment.

I acctually just bought one today from gamestation, £125 for Console, Mario cart and Dr thingies brain training.

I am not sure whether you would need a step down convertor (240>110v) I think you possibly would, and they are about £20 so it would possibly mean it wasnt worth it.

Also there are some problems with the DS lite, dead pixels, D pad faults etc. Although these arn't *that* common, they are common enough that you would want to be able to take it back to a local store, rather than trying to return it to America.

Nintendo are very good about these faults and take back anything slightly dodgy no questions asked, so it shouldnt put you off buying one all together, just something to consider with importing.
