Hello,

I recently bought a Mi5 with the global rom and have the latest update but there is no UK region in the settings. Does that mean I could end up paying roaming charges whilst using my Tesco sim?

Thanks!

But what my phone decides to use another operator like vodafone or EE? Or is that not possible?

The phone can only use the network that it's sim is from. The ONLY way it can use another network is if you dial 999 and you have no coverage with your own network.

Just use anywhere for the setting, it makes no difference.

Lol deffo not no. Roaming charges are attracted when you use services from a cell tower in another country so unless you are within range of one its not possible to face roaming charges.

I set my locale as Falklands on my xiaomi phone. However you can change in settings at any time. All it seems to do is add holidays to the calendar from the locale you set. Oh, I'm on tesco with no problems

Like wayners said really, locale is for calendar, units, decimal point that sort of thing. Anything that speaks English will work (so not USA, they don't speak English as we know it
