I have the earlier Bose and they are great for flights and that kind of low droning noise, but not great elsewhere because they can't counter the higher pitched sounds... Bought my wife some £30 cheapie when Amazon had them on deal of the day and I'd say they were similarly good...

I've just bought the Bose and am very impressed. If you stand in the kitchen with them on it completely eliminates the din of our loud cooker and extractor fan, so I imagine they'll be similarly good for trains/aircraft etc which is why I wanted them. You can still hear people talk around you but it's as if someone has turned their volume down :)

My brother's gf has the Bose qc35 and thinks they're great.

Got them from CEX, grade 1, and saved nearly £100. 2 years warranty with CEX too.

Boxed, as new.

Grade 1 should pretty much all be boxed and as new with all of the accessories etc.

Buy CEX vouchers on here at 20% off (CEX voucher value is pretty much always 80%) and they work out not far off half RRP new.

The 2 year warranty is good too.

Bose all the way!

You won't be disappointed with either one. I personally find the QC35 to be more comfortable, especially for longer periods.

Get the Sony's.
Of all the comparison reviews I read and viewed online. Not one said the Bose were the better headphones.
They did say the Bose were more comfortable.
But, the Sony's are comfortable in my opinion.

I've heard the same about a lot of bose products. They're a good product but they don't perform as well as similarly priced products.

I found the Sony comfortable from briefly wearing them at the store, over long term use not sure. The bonus is I presume the Sony could be used with the PS4.

I bought the Bose purely because they have been doing noise canceling longer, and they are comfortable when worn for long periods. The Sony's have a slightly flatter response curve and enhanced bass (which sounds booommy to my ears) but if you've been bought up liking Boom as opposed to real bass then they may be to your preference.
Would i buy bose again - Yes! not heard any better NC headphones upto that price bracket.

Just from looking around, bose are 60-70 pounds cheaper, so that would heavily influence my decision, as they re both great headphones and not much differentiation between the 2
