Before you go buying.. Just a quick advice..

The N96 was always a stop gap, and Nokia have already announced the N97

It is due the first half of this year.... Just thought it may be of use.

To be honest I am not a N95/96 expert..

I don't like them at all, too bulky, slow operating system, unreliable. Lots of unused features.. (Digital TV in the new one that is not UK standard. Poor battery life.. I could go on and on...

You may get a nokia N expert come along soon..

I have the N95 and I LOVE It. The N95 8gb probably would be a good buy if you need something quick. Get some good deals on that one. x

i sell phones on ebay so ive handled both the n96 and n95 8gb and personally i found the n95 a lot better. the n96 can have issues with speed because so much has been crammed into a phone - the n95 8gb is a brilliant phone and ive used one now for 18mths and i think i will have it for another 18mths. no faults as of yet at all. and ive tried most of nokia's premium sets such as the sapphire, sirocco etc.

on ebay the n96 sells for 350 (good ones) and the n95 8gb about 225. you didnt say who the gift was for though?
