so wrong its unbelievable.
when did MSE or AVG free win product of the year on AV-Comparatives.org?
never.
why?
cos they're free limited security
http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/stories/test/summary/summary2009.pdf

NORTON DOES NOT SLOW DOWN YOUR PC!!!!!
this sort of thinking shows how closed minded people are and still believe the hype from 3-5 years back.
things do change and Norton 2010/11 is VERY VERY light on resources.

plus you can generally get a 3 user for about £25ish
thats once a year

small price to pay
unless you're so tight its unreal.

just depends on how much you value the security of yourself, the contents of your PC etc.

free security is free for a reason....advertising the full product.

even Malwarebytes has a full paid for version.
why?
cos money makes the product better.

People actually pay for an Anti-Virus?

aye cos some people arent so tight they cant afford a few quid once a year.

get what ya pay for and if ya dont pay and it lets ya down, ya cant complain

Why pay when you can get free Kaspersky for 3 computers every year from barclays just for registering internet banking oO

yes cos viruses are the ONLY threat out there.
if norton deleted a file it was infected.

have yourself a quick visit to shieldsup and see how well protected your PC is without anything.
noob or not, you are a total goon if you think its OK to have no internet security and just rely on common sense.
you're an IT tech's commission dream!
#11
you're obviously an idiot.

if you're so tech savvy, go to PC flank and Shieldsup and post your results..

if Norton is so bad why did AV-comparatives.org vote it product of the year 2009? with kaspersky and eset in 2nd and 3rd places?
they are independent and have no bias.

pro?
whats your qualifications, or are you self taught?

not having a go, just its rare for someone to call themselves a pro without the backup.

thing is, I get almost exactly the same results, but with Kaspersky 2011

but aswell, not everyone is as 'tech savvy' i think you put it, as yourself.
so for those who wanna switch on, use and go away, an internet security is an essential

Im not an expert on viruses but i just went to that shields up run all the tests and nothing got through. shows that avg free can do a job :). I take it, it has an inbuilt firewall ?
