Well yeah it is so there..:p

Posted a couple of day back wanting digital camera under £50, thanks to those who posted, but didn't really like them.

Anyhoo, I am now desperate. I leave on Fri morn for my hols, so need a camera before then. Price range is up to £100 (but it better be bloomin good for £100!) Normally use my k800i for pics and find that quite good, but want a proper camera now.

So I need
Digital camera pref sd compatible
under £100 (pref at lower end)
movie with sound option
decent brand

Think thats about it-oh Ineed it before Friday- so it can be online with damn quci delivery or high street

Cheers guys:thumbsup:

I just bought the Fuji F20 from Argos for £99.99. It's a great little camera

I have been searching most of last night and this morning. The probelm is that usually if I am going to buy something, I research it for at least a couple of weeks.
I have only decided last minute to buy a camera so its a pain looking. There are lots out there under £100, but what I need is someone to say "YES this is the best one around for this x amount" or "x is better than y but..."

I did a good bit of research before making the jump.

I think the best cameras available for that price are the Fuji F20 and the Panasonic FX-01. Both are £99.99 from Argos.

The Panasonic had the added bonus of a 28mm lense, so is great for group shots etc. I didn't suggest the Panny before as it was only available for home delivery and I wasn't sure whether you would get it in time.

Agreed, The Fuji F20 is a brilliant camera, and a bargain at that price.

Good battery life, excellent in low light conditions.

Thanks for those Angelphace. I've found this Panny at Jessops-is it better or worse than the one you have seen
Total price comesin at £85-found a code!

It's worse. I think that may be from the bottom of their range.

I have the F20 and it is a great little camera, impressed with it for the price - takes some great pictures.

You'll need to get yourself a memory card for it though if you plan on taking quite a few pictures.

Do you think it better to get the memory card from the high street or should I get it at Manchester Airport

Online if possible, High Street if not, certainly not at any UK Airport, they are all Rip Off Merchants.

Cheers. Am looking now, but don't know where to start. High street very expensive, if I order online delivery needs to be for tomoz. Any ideas of online retailers that are relaible, cheap and can delivery tomoz?

you could try www.memorybits.co.uk.

I got next day delivery with them. You have to be in to sign for the item though.

You could buy at your foreign destination.

I could, but I'm going to Cuba and even if they did have them they would be at astronomical prices:-(

You'll always be able to pick up a card at Dixons Tax Free at the airport. Their prices have got to be better than the high street. I managed to get a DS Lite from them before Christmas for about £84, which was a good price. Check them out. You might be surprised. You can even ring them in advance to check whether they have any stock and what the prices are www.dixonstaxfree.co.uk

Fair enough, there is always an exception, granted I doubt you would get them in Cuba.

Give my love to Fidel.. :)
