My contract is up for renewal and I seen someone posting deals that they had been given for staying with o2. I am looking to pay £20 per month. Any ideas what I should be asking for?
Thanks

retentions offered me a 18 month £20 deal with 200 minutes and 200 texts when I came to upgrade. I decided to get my pac code off them!

Im on £15 month 200 txts and 200 mins, they said they could only do me a deal on a 18 month contract and £20 line rental. Told them i'll cancel.

Don't get me started on O2 - they offered me no incentive to stay, just ran through current tariffs and offered me a Nokia E65 for £120!

I went into phones 4 u and they offered me an O2 upgrade with free phone and £50 cash back, wtf is that about!

I'm not too keen on the cashback deals so I ended up going to Three, they have got quite a range of decent tariffs (although a bit light on selection of phones), plus you get quidco (up to £80) and refer a friend (£30) if you do it online (i'll pm you my phone no if you need a friend!)

I need a friend, i'm gonna switch to 3 myself, O2 weren't bothered about losing me as a customer.

O2 are crap with retention. I've just quit my O2 contract in favour of Orange. O2 offered me a 512mb micro memory stick to stay with them that is worth less than a tenner and that was for a 18 month contract! W**kers! I opted for orange 18 month contract with £100 instant cashback, a free SE K810i, a free 7" digital photo frame and unlimited 8 meg broadbacn, 300 min, 400 text, unlimited evening and weekend text for £35 a month. I'm with a cashback deal at the moment and they currently owe me £270 so was reluctant to go for another cashback deal as it is not worth the hassle!

well I got a good deal the previous upgrade but this time they didn't seem fussed! They said the deal I was on was 'unsustainable'!

Is that a 12 month or 18 month contract?

Hi what did you say to get that offer? I'm also looking to review my contract but with vodafone (have been on £15 pm 100mins anytime and 25 texts for last 3 years. Used to get other free stuff but they withdrew it after a few months). I'm happy to change phone providors, but would like to keep my mobile number.

Thanks

sorry to drag up an old thread
but to echo what others have said
o2 afferign no incentive at all to retain me this year
i have both mine and the wifes phone with them
wifes they werent interested in
mine they almost gave me enough to stay but im looking around
have already sent off an email to disconnections to give official notice of the wifes one

on mine they offered me 18 motn deal on u600
with 200 mins and 200 txts for £12.50 a month for 12 months then £25 a month for last 6 months

anyone know anythign better out there
looking for two phones with couple of hundred minutes a month included for around £15 a month and prefer not to have to deal with cash back its a bit too much hassle for me ;)

Why not join Three?

http://threestore.three.co.uk/offerdetails.aspx?offercode=18T15D006

O2 has offered me some good deals to stay with them from 3000 xnet 3000 sms for £35 monthly no phone just sim, 100 xnet 1500 sms £20 monthly for 12 months then £25 for last six and n95 £89.99.

I think you should call back to retentions and ask to speak to a supervisor and explain your not happy with the offers given and ask why such a loyal customer has been offered second rate offers.

Tell O2 your going to join the Three network and ask them to match their tariff. At least then you should get a good phone.:whistling:
