I remember something about O2 allowing you to unlock your phone with them for free?

I am looking to buy a PAYG phone with O2 then get an unlock code from them. Can I get this free?

contract phones supplied by o2 have historically not been sim locked but PAYG may differ. best bet is to get an o2 one from carphone warehouse

Yes you can, you can simply take it in to a store and it is free.

Or just complete the form below.

No, only contract phones can be unlocked for free. PAYG phones cost £15 to unlock.

Should be no issues as long you're a existing O2 pay monthly customer. Just use pay monthly customer to file for unlock code using payg imei details. Make sure to use your pay monthly mobile number to track you're a long serving customer.

Even O2 payg phones are locked as they are subsidised just like pay monthly ones.

If the phone you want is available on payg at CPW, buy it there and it will already be unlocked.
