hi, it may be worth reading the Nissan forums. there's normally someone else who has found a good cheap supplier if there is one

It's 'obd' by the way. ODB was a popular music artiste.

I use a fox well nt600 it work well with my nan Nissan xtrail t30 2.2dci I use it a lot and never let me down

I'm sure any obd2 reader should work as I think all cars from 2001 had to use the same connection.

All petrol cars from 2001 and diesel from 2003 had to have a OBD 2 ports, but some readers only read a couple of protocols.

you need a generic "dumb" OBDII adaptor basically one which uses Consult II protocol over K line (DDL2).
