Hi

I have extracted the office 365 key from a Linx 7 tablet recently.

Do I just download the personal edition from microsoft, install and apply the key? Will it allow a 1x PC and 1x tablet?

What's the difference if I just activated on the tablet itself?

Was there a free trial for office 365 personal (which I think is what was included with the Linx)?

Was there a trick to convert to a Home edition?

Yes if you just activate it on the lynx you can then add one pc to your account as well for free.
You used to be able to then sign up for a home edition for one month at £7.99 a month, and then cancel before the end of the month, and this would then effectively convert your personal edition to a home edition for the twelve months allowing you to install office onto five pc's.
Although whether this still works or not I'm not sure, Microsoft may have got wise to it now.
