So I've just received a random invite to buy a OnePlus One. Some would know how rare these are to come by, but I'm now faced with the question as to whether I actually want one enough to spend the cash to replace my HTC One X... I have the better part of 2 days to decide as it expires, which I imagine is meant to rush my decision to jump on a purchase (sneaky!)

Anyone care to share their thoughts?

I myself am waiting eagerly for an invite, having said that I too have wondered whether or not I should splash the cash and actually buy one.

Over the past year, I have noticed mobile technology hasn't improved vastly with any revolutionary specs or features. Personally I see the Oneplus One a significant upgrade over your current HTC One X.

Therefore I would suggest you go for it, if you can afford it!! At the end of the day, the device is brilliant for its price point. Yes, better devices will come out soon (Note 4) however they are expected to cost three times as much.

I agree. When I wasn't expecting an invite I was just waiting on the Nexus 6 to see what that's like before I upgrade (having gone SIM Only when my previous contract ended), but this is where I'm torn. I think the only downside of the OPO I've read is that the camera isn't amazing, but then what smartphone camera is. Either way, I've had to claim the invite as my own as you only get 24hrs to claim it (only saw it this morning, where it was sent to me yesterday), and then a further 3 days to make a purchase. Going to check reviews more thoroughly and decide today I think, giving me a day to see if I can somehow get it for someone else if I don't want it even if I've claimed the invite...

And if I get more invites I may find myself back here seeking interest ;)

Further feedback is still welcome in response to this as I'm still undecided :)

THREE invites?? You'll be the envy of all... think they're just resending the same invite if you ignore the initial?

If you do decide to get one, I wouldn't mind an invite being thrown my direction.

All the best making a decision.

I've been waiting ages for an invite and still think it's up there with the flagship phones, especially for the price and I even love the mega size screen. The Note 4 will be out by the end of the year but probably will be a lot more expensive.

If anyone does have a spare invite going, I'd be very happy to make good use of it. Please message me. Thanks.

Same here. My phone just went pop so any invites would be great. Cheers.
