Hi, hope anyone can help me with this.i bought an abayah from abayahboutique(a muslim womens clothing shop).i returned the item but now they are not giving me full refund.
To cut long story in short.
I returned item after 4 days receiving it.After returning 3 And half week later i still didnt receive refund so i email the shop. Few days later they email back asking for tracking no n pic of receipt from post office. I emailed those to them.
Then they emailed they have received the package but they going to charge me £5 because they have get the abaya washed and ironed to resell it .it was crunched up.
I emailed them kindly asking for a full refund. When i send the item back it was in new condition as i received. I didnt cruched it up.
I told them look its probably been in the package for 4week they didnt open it so thats why its probably been cruched up.but i have not received any reply back since then.
I originally paid £59.99plus £3 postage. I send it back Paying Postage from my pocket.
They refunded me £54.99
Can please some help me what can i do to get me full refund. They are not replying to my emails.or please tell me if im wrong here.
Thankyou in advance

You're entitled to a full refund including the original postage you have paid i.e they they still owe you £8.

Write a formal request demanding that they pay the debt within 7 days.

You need to read this in full:-
Changing your mind about something you've bought

Just a couple of pertinent extracts from that link

If you paid for standard delivery when you bought something, the seller has to refund this if you return it. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, you'll have to pay the difference.

You may have to pay the cost of posting something back to the seller. The seller should have told you who has to pay for this when you bought the item. For example, it could have been in the terms and conditions. If they didn’t tell you, they will have to refund your postage costs.

You don't have to return the item in its original packaging, but you do need to make sure it’s packaged in a way that means it doesn’t get damaged. Sellers can ask you to pay if something gets damaged because it wasn’t packaged properly.

it's only £5 :)
some small shops do charge handling fee to return items, even up to 30% so if they are offering you that accept it. plus , the customer always has to pay for return costs, even with big retailer's like sports direct .
next time, buy one from local

It's a sin to lie,
1) Either the shop has lied about the state of the returned item or
2)You have unwittingly returned it in an un-sellable ( needs a wash..your own words) state or
3) You deliberately sent in an unsellable item without ensuring it was in its original re-sellable state.

None of us on here knows .Only GOD knows and the liar ( sinner) will be punished in the after life.
I'd leave it in the hands of GOD for now as you have nothing really to worry about.
Thank you
