i'd go for the dual core model asus instead (the SU3500 is single core so would be a lot slower)

dont buy an acer

I have one of the acer timeline series the 1810T, and they are fantastic. Different league to the regular acre stuff.
Though I would say you are better off with

Or try for the ASUS UL30VT or soemthing similar. Stay away from the celeron dualcore, the SU3500 is probably a better bet. Though these lappies are usually sold in europe with a SU7300 proc. Try some european stores and see what you get. Brand wise ASUS is preferred because they have the best service package!
