the sony seems good. whats the best price you've seen??
#2
pricerunner says about 650, was hoping for it a bit cheeper. can get the samsung for 550. so is it worth the 100 difference?
#3
what model is the samsung?
#4
le32r24bd samsung 32

I heard Sony make the screens for the Samsung or vice versa so theres a possibility there the same? Dont quote me on it though.

I've got a 26" Samsung in my room and its excellent. Only downside to having a 32" one as a main telly would be that the speker faces downwards and therefore doesn't exactly give you the best sound out there. Fine as a second TV though.

Samsung are due to bring out some new models shortly, if not already and i'd imagine they would have tried to sort out the sound problem.

how much did you get your 26" samsung for?
#7
£450 but it was around XMAS time, i'm sure it would have gone down somewhat now.
#8
Samsung 26" here for £379 click I think delivery is aroung £6.

Hope this helps:)

thanks dude, thats a good deal. u think that maybe the 26" samsung rather than a 32" is better for my bedroom. was gona put it on the wall too. do i need proper wall mounts?

I'd go for the Sony one. Samsung recently changed its supplier of most its LCDs from Sony and other high-end companies to some very cheap Taiwanees and Korean suppliers. I don't think I'd risk getting one of those. Plus the Sony badge just looks so sexy on any electronics equipment... :)

is it worth 100-150 more tho? and do sony do theirs in 26 inch or 28? and cost please

hey dude, thats a good price but its got a different code, its LE26R32B , whereas the other is LE26R73B (or LE26R74B). whats the difference between the link u gave and this one?
#13
Here is a link to a 26" sony click £495 + £6 delivery.

So you can compare and see if you think it is worth the difference

so their aint a diff between the 2 samsungs then?

The samsung model I first linked to is an earlier model from what I can gather,so that may explain the good price.

I have found this one, later model click ,LE26R74B for £439 delivered, the main difference seems to be a better contrast ratio 3000:1(2000:1) and built in freeview......it is late but that's the mains differences I can make out!
#16
contrast ration, u think the extra 1000-1 on the never one will make much difference to the picture?
#17
1000-1 is still not that much, though...
#18
i mean comparing 2000-1 or 3000-1(with freeview on the 3000-1) their is a pric gap of 50 quid. which one is worth it? what u guys think?

I really think you need to SEE the TVs in action so you can compare the picture quality, brightness/contrast levels, sound quality etc. It is not something you can do on the web - the stats may look better on one, but that doesn't necessarily you will prefer the picture when you see it for real. Once you have seen them in action you can then seek to find the best price on the net for the one you prefer.
