Well Adobe Photoshop CS4 (full product) latest version - is around £540 (five hundred and forty pounds). (You can buy the student version for around £150)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Systems-Inc-Photoshop-CS4/dp/B001G8Y7IG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1238428018&sr=1-3

Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate is only £44.83 (on Amazon).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paint-Shop-Pro-Photo-Ultimate/dp/B001EB28F4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1238428018&sr=1-5

You say they seem expensive, but if you think Paint Shop Pro is expensive at £44 I hate to think what you make of the price of Photoshop.

I dont think £44 is expensive for a fully featured graphics package,

You can get Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for £24.97

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paint-Shop-Pro-Photo-X2/dp/B000UZBYAA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1238428018&sr=1-10

You can also get Photoshop Elements (cut down version of Photoshop) for around £60

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-7-PC/dp/B001ELK946/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1238428018&sr=1-4

Or was your question a subtle way of asking if anyone knows where you can download them for free ?
