SORN it?

Fill out the SORN declaration, but make sure you change it back before using the car on the road again.

Not this without SORN

If you're definitely not using the car then you need to submit a SORN. Not sure how long you are planning to SORN it for, but just so you are aware, if you start using it again I think you'd need to pay for that full month's road tax though.

Also cancel the direct debit and then the payment won't be taken. But if you haven't submitted the SORN they will still expect you to pay the money. Hope that makes sense.

Many thanks, Will sorn it. Will be putting it up for sale in January one I have made a few repairs on it. thanks

Remember, for it be SORN, it must be off of the public highway, that means it must be on private land.

Is it worth it for that short time a months tax, remember prospective buyers will not be able test drive without the tax.

Additionally, you need to make sure it is stored on private land whilst it is not taxed.

Does my head in when people give out stupid info like this

cancelling a DD wont stop companies trying to collect payments so you end up with a poor credit history!

I'm sorry I think you misunderstood my comment that wasn't clear. I DID MEAN AFTER SORN
