My current spec is

Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K
Sapphire HD7950 3GB Vapox-X
AsRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard
Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba 8GB

Looking to upgrade my graffics card as i think everything else seems ok at the moment, just need a helping hand budge is about 200-300

mainly looking for a card for 1080p or 1440 soon in a year maybe.

any help would be appreciated.

get the 1070, about £100 quid more but it's perfect for 1440p gaming

To be honest in that budget I'm not sure if there's anything big enough to be worth bothering with unless you're the sort that must play everything at the highest settings. An RX 480/GTX 1060 might just about produce double the frame rate.

If you could manage to get a 1070 then you'll probably not have to upgrade ever in the 1440p era, though I would agree a 1060 is still an excellent purchase. One of the two, for sure.
