Hi all,

we rescued this little girl in November last year and we are still unconvinced of what her breeds are meant to be! She has just turned 1.
Before anyone asks, it absolutely doesn't matter what she is but I'd love to know what others think! I won't say yet what she supposedly is!

Aww cute, I'd say a bit of staff and don't know what else

well.. we were told her mum was a little brindle Staffordshire and her dad a yellow lab but she is so petite for those breeds-shes not even 16kg!

she hadn't been out of her original home until the day I picked her up at 14 weeks. she's come a long way bless her.

just deleted a comment, we were told her mum was a little brindle Staffordshire and her dad a yellow lab. she's petite at 16 kg for those breeds though!

she hadn't been out of her original home until I got her at 14 weeks. she's come a long way from the nervous wreck she was. it's a shame people have dogs when they can't give the basics

my comments don't seem to be showing

She looks like she has the rear half of a lab and the front half (if not a half) but more a mix. She does look adorable.

Love them for who they are not what they are.

Different breeds of dog have different traits. It is important to know those traits so if they appear you can recognise them & train their behaviour accordingly.

Its not essential but it helps. The more you know, the more prepared you are.

Also when buying/choosing a dog it is always best to do so on the basis of knowing those traits rather than choosing on the basis of how cute it looks etc

Does look like a staffy cross lab, 100% got some terrier in it.
#26
Using all my years of experience with the canine breeds, I can confirm this is indeed
a black dog.

aw thanks for all your comments, she is lovely.
she had an awful start but things turned around for her.
well I'd say the general consensus does seem to point to lab/staff/terrier mix. she does actually show traits of both- she loves water and balls/searching for balls and she is protective of the house and vocal when saying hello and quite cuddley!
thanks all!!

is she a little rascal :) I'm almost 100% sure you have a patterdale. join one of the patterdale groups on Facebook. they are awesome dogs

That's a poodle if i've ever seen one!
#31
I'd say a hint of terrier, those half flop ears are straight off a Jack Russell
#32
Dogs are cool, cats suck.

Well done on the rescue!
#33
Yep, I'd say front to back; JRT/Staffy/Lab, she looks an adorable mix, and in great condition too.
#34
she looks like my dog whos 3/4 Chihuahua and 1/4 spaniel
#35
mongrel

lol love the comments!! as she was growing we were convinced she was mixed with both Patterdale and Jack Russell!!! Now, when we ask her if she's a Patterdale / jack Russell she cocks her ears and says 'buff' haha!
I think both her parents were probably mixes.
she is beautiful, she's excellent in the house now but initially took months and months to house train and had anxiety when left ( although I work at home and we don't have to leave her too long) We didn't want to go down a route of dog crate as she'd been locked away as a baby and I know they help some people when they have dogs from a very young age but we were passed that. Thankfully now, when we're out she stays in the kitchen with one of her beds and toys and has the radio on and literally snoozes whilst we aren't there. I didn't think we'd get to this point especially after months of finding destruction of the house and toileting every time she was left.

Deffo half lab in her.
