maybe a silly suggestion but what about a perspex fish tank? would be ideal for needing to hold water and you should be able to buy one in a cube shape

eBay have loads listed

Hadn't thought of that so will look into it thanks. It needs to be filled with water so was automatically looking for something ready made.

If you google "shop display perspex cubes" there are lots of options. Hope this helps.

Might be worth getting some silicone sealant. They are usually panels

Mentioned making one to her as that seemed the best solution and she is not keen as she will be taking photos from below it and doesn't want it leaking on her camera but thanks for the suggestions. Will google the shop display ones to see if they do the size she is after as the ones she has seen so far are too small.

Second the silicone suggestion. A cubic foot of water will push out more than you may think, so be sure that it's properly glued and sealed - test outdoors for a while

I can imagine a magic trick conjuring or some kind of whacky scientific experiment

Thanks for all your help. We have ordered a fish tank.
