Hi,

I kinda got into the hue bulbs when argos were doing their 25% off, and now have the dimmer switches and motion sensors.

I have been using the Phillips hue app and all 4 hue, but before I purchase some of the addons on all4hue if there is a better app (don't mind paying)

I also want to customise the motion sensors and dimmer switches a bit better, is that possible?

Any suggestions?

For android Hue Pro is the best thing I've found by a long way. I'd really recommend you give it a try.

Remember with the play store you have a 2 hour refund window anyway so if you don't like it, just get your money back!

And while I know it wasn't your question if you're looking to do anything like that with your PC then take a look at WinHue. Lovely software.

I'll give that a go myself, the official philips app is just an embarrassment to humanity in design.

Not a fan of Hue Pro, I like the fact that the Hue app opens on the on/off page, have tried 5 or 6 different apps and have settled on the basic app and sensors, but my favourite so far has got to be IFTTT https://ifttt.com/search/hue , tho some applets dont work , most work fine , I use the "button" applets to have a on and off button on my phones home screen..

Also this https://my.meethue.com/en-us/my-devices on my phone for remote use, I tried to configure my router as per Hue Pros instructions and got nowhere.

Thank you for the suggestions I did see hue pro, but as there was no trial period or free app I didn't want to waste my money.

I'll also look into Winhue as if it's easier to setup on there might do it that way.

Does all the info store on the bridge, or does the phone or pc need to be on so that it has all the rules?

If so, I also have a qnap nas so anything that works well with that?

Thank you also, did download iftt but haven't really had a decent chance to have a look how it works. Again do I need to be at home for it to work? Or my phone on? Or does all the info get stored on the bridge.

Didn't know there was also a external website to access it will also have to look into that too.
