Just got my son a LG G3, he's 12. And there's a good chance he'll lose it. Any advice on insurance that will cover him? Read More

only insurance would be to get him a cheaper phone

tell him that if he loses it, he will need to buy his next one himself.
that will be good enough insurance for him to look after this one. :3

Should have got him S3 mini CPW offer, that phone is prone to getting stolen or even robbed it's worth 300 pounds like. Silly

this is the problem with giving expensive stuff to kids as they are likely to be taken by school bullies or street bullies.
the kid is more likely to end up with a broken jaw or a black eye and so the insurance should be for medical injuries, and not the phone that the OP should worry about.

I'm getting 500 minutes/500MB for £18/month + free G3. Moto G costs more than that.

I've used insurance2go in the past, was cheapest for me at the time and claiming was straight forward when I needed to. I went through MSE with a code.. may be worth checking on there

Exactly, a child with an adults phone. oO

best thing you can do OP is to take insurance out for yourself on the phone then if your son loses it, you can always say you did.
not ethical but .......

unless he takes out insurance for the child and says they both went missing

then sell the g3, buy 2 moto g and still be in pocket, and have a phone as spare with no need for insurance ?

Judging from your questions I don't think you are capable of tying your shoe laces :)

Moto G is cheaper to replace though if you can't get the G3 insured.

when i was 12, i lived on a very rough inner london council estate where you got mugged regularly so i learnt very quickly how to look after me belongings and look out for muggers. (_;)
