My son has saved up £60 to buy himself a bike for the summer as his old one is too small but we are having a real hard time finding him a decent one or even one at all for that price. Looking for something 20" - 22" preferably a bmx but anything will help! Thanks in advance. Will leave rep for everyone that helps.

cant you spend a bit more / help him out a bit? new bikes at this price are [usually] awful and fall apart if ridden at all hard

Try the local auctions for catalogue/shop returns, you can usually get a real bargain and they are brand new

thanks but we're all the way down in Hampshire so probably a killer to get here :-(

Sorry to everyone for seeming rude, my internet went down pretty much straight after posting and has only just come back up, BT problem. Thanks for all your help, will have a look at the suggestions and leave rep, thanks :-)

We have weekly auctions here in the east, I just assumed everywhere else does, they have general sales of bits and bobs, furniture, a specialised one for cycles, they also do plants, bric a brac, cars, ours are at Aylsham and Diss, Norfolk, there are others though, www.keysauctions.co.uk it's well worth a trip to a local auction just for fun. The sale this week will be on a Tuesday because of the bank hols. Other than that the police do on line auctions of recovered and not claimed items, their site is www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk and well worth a look too.
