My sister just had a little baby girl several weeks early and she needs some cheap premature baby clothes, can anyone recommend where to get good priced premature baby clothes? On a bit of a tight budget so she can't really afford anything pricey. Looking to buy clothes right away so eBay doesn't suit as need to wait for listing end times. Thanks in advance.

How small ? I had quite the opposite problem and got a lot of stuff from charity shops . My boy was ten pounds when he was born and none of the stuff we had fitted . Mothercare always used to be good as previous post . Hope all goes well . I know nicu's often have tiny baby clothes as they are geared up for the smaller arrivals .

Facebook usually have local bumps to teens selling groups which would be worth posting your request on. In my experience people selling tend to respond quickly and as the groups are local some people even drop off/deliver.

Look for a local church that holds baby sales, I got clothes, pram, moses basket and changing mat for £20 when our daughter arrived a few weeks early.

Thanks for all your responses. We come from a town outside Glasgow and I've tried instore at the local Asda and Tesco and both had no premature clothes in stock, closest I could find was tiny baby but they look like they would be far too big as the baby is only 3.3lb. I didn't think of ordering online and picking up from store. Hopefully should only take a day or two to get so the little one has some clothes of her own rather than the tiny hospital gowns. Thanks again everyone.

You will find a lot of dolls clothes fit good luck

Lots of them in Asda they are so small they look like dolls clothes you can get the body suits for £5
And I guess that's what the baby will be wearing most of the time
#15
Have you tried Primark? I'm sure they had a smaller selection and pretty cheap.
#16
you could try Primark newborn as D.I.L found all their baby stuff was at least a size smaller than the same size/age elsewhere.....Tesco have very little baby stuff too " tiny baby" range

Matalan have tiny baby clothes too

The hospital should have some clothes available so there's no need to panic buy.

Put a WTD thread up here in the for sale section.

Ask at the hospital, find Facebook pages, try NCT etc.

Maybe ask some of the mum's in the NICU where they got theirs from, and the ones whose babies are a little bigger will probably be happy to hand theirs on or sell them.

Have you tried m&s and John Lewis? They seem likely places but might be expensive.

Also, if you find a bundle on eBay that you like you can always ask for a buy it now price. Just make sure is from a non-smoking household etc and wash them yourself once they arrive etc.

Both Asda and primark sell some - they are your cheapest new clothing options. I agree, buy enough to get you through what you need but it won't be long and she'll be in 0-3. Hope all goes well :)

Having had a look George at Asda do different sized premature baby things.

There's up to 3lbs and up to 4lbs for things like this http://direct.asda.com/george/baby/coats-jackets/premature-baby-jacket/GEM381938,default,pd.html

And boots is a good place too.

Congratulations to the new mum and how nice you can be there to help her.

And Asda click and collect is pretty much next day delivery to store so worth doing too :) I agree primark sizes come up small too

try sainsburys to they do small size, but I'd ask on fb sell sites if your on them

Thanks everyone. I've ordered 6 body suits and 6 sleep suits from Asda for click and collect. Hopefully that will be enough. Both mum and baby are doing well but I'm trying to worry about the small stuff for my sister as shes pretty all over the place as the baby wasn't expected early and her hubby is away on family business and cant get back until tomorrow. As long as the baby has some little clothes she can worry about early maternity from her workplace later. Thanks again for all the advice everyone.

Glad you've got something sorted Emmz. I don't have any advice, I just wanted to say congratulations on the birth of your niece and I hope mum and baby are both doing well and continue to do so.
