Hi,

I am looking for a printer that is capable of printing onto DVDs/CDs that have a printable surface. Can anyone recommend a printer that can do this?

Thanks

I'm using a Canon Pixma IP4300 and very happy with the results. The ink is expensive but a set of cartridges lasts for about 200 DVD's.

Alot of the epsons can, i had the R200 ages ago that had a tray for cd printing. I believe the newest version is the R265 but if you can pick up an earlier model the cartridges will probably be cheaper

i've got an R300 and it's been great....cheap compatible ink is a big bonus :-D

Epson R200 / R265 at about £50 - £60. Prints a good cd / dvd and the compatible ink is cheap and the supplied software excellent. I just did 200 disks for a school Nativity play with one set of inks (cost about £6 in ink). Great definition.
Hope this helps

cannon ip4300 uses chips on the ink and prints dvds good we use acoustica cd dvd labler to print dvds its brilliant,

if you can try get hold of the ip4000 its just the same then you can get compatable inks for less than £2 each and then you wont have to worry about expensive inks

regarding inks for cannon ip4300 we get ours from amazon market place for £35 full set

I use the Canon i 865 . It's about 2 years old now so should be cheap.
It has the other advantage of printing photographs as good as any shop.
