I ordered a bundle from Game. One of the items was not in the package, despite being listed on the dispatch slip inside the box. A phone call to customer services confirmed it should have been in the box, not sent seperately.
Game are really dragging their feet sorting this out for me and sending me the missing item. It has been two weeks now. I get the cursory, cut and paste reply to my emails saying 'investigating with the courier' every 48 hours.

Has anyone had a similar experience with Game? And how did they resolve it for you if you did? It's annoying to say the least! It's almost like they are hoping I will get bored and give up!

I appreciate any replies from people who've had similar issues.

Just send it back, and reorder I am thinking, frankly I've never had this problem with them. if anything found them to be excellent whenever ordering. Sorry wish i could be of further help, but if all else fails, send it back for a complete refund. Unless someone else might be able to help

I had a nightmare with them after Black Friday which was only resolved by my local store who were just brilliant. The central customer service is terrible.

Only issue I had was a few years ago, I ordered a new PSP for my son for Christmas. The box was not sealed. You could tell it never had a seal on it. Wasn't an issue at the time but my son then announced he wanted a 3DS xl and game would not return the PSP, I had to trade it in.

I had a nightmare with them after Black Friday which was only resolved by my local store who were just brilliant. The central customer service is terrible.

Like others have said, whilst I have not had a similar experience, I have had many bad experiences with Game both online and in store and unless a real bargain or I am desperate I now give them a wide berth.

I'm annoyed when I buy from them on principle, lazy company that treats their customers like an inconvenience and like morons.

Thanks for the replies so far. It was a Black Friday deal for a second Xbox One S. I can't give it all back as I've opened it up on their promise they'd get the game out to me within 48 hours! I find in store to be great so it is a shame their customer services department puts many people off their face to face stores!

I only bought from Game as they offered the best trade value for the old Xbox One. Otherwise as you've all said, I wouldn't bother!

Maybe try live chat if you are having issues over the phone. At least that way you get a record of your conversations. It doesn't take long to speak to someone.

Not quite the same situation but if it helps at all this was my experience.

When I first got in touch via live chat I was told that I had to wait the full estimated 10 working day delivery time (extended due to volume of orders on BF) and if it still didn't arrive by then I should get in touch again.

So I waited and then used live chat to explain that my order hadn't arrived and the ten working day delivery window had passed. I didn't ask for anything except that they chase it up for me.
I was told that because it had taken so long without arrival it was being classed as lost in transit and I was given the choice of refund or replacement. Obviously I took replacement since the deal was exceptional and I wouldn't be able to get it again at that price. (But who knows with HUKD)
A few minutes later a new one had been ordered for me and I've been told to expect details via email when it ships.

No fuss at all except the wait which seems reasonable given that they could have made me wait a full 30 days before doing anything.

That 30 days is the maximum amount of time they have to provide delivery of an order afaik based on the current regulations. It works both ways so I'm impressed with how they've handled it so far.

I only chased it up in the evening this past Friday so it's early days yet. I'm expecting confirmation in the next couple of days (since I assume they won't have processed the new order over the weekend) but I'll have to wait and see.

If I have any other issues I'll post here and let you know what, if anything I was able to do to get it sorted.

Obviously I hope I don't.

In the meantime I hope game sort it or someone else can help with info that gets you the missing item.

You can return the item without charge within 30 days of receipt if it isn't as described btw.

Buying a bundle and finding it has something missing after opening the packaging definitely qualifies.

Game would have to cover the return costs in this instance.

14 days is for a change of mind. 30 for anything that arrives unfit for purpose, not as described or is not of satisfactory quality. You simply reject the goods because Game is in breach of contract. If you wait longer than 30 days I believe you can still get it resolved but the specifics change.

IN ADDITION although I don't have the link to hand right now because I'm on my phone - where an order is formed of multiple parts I don't 'think' your 14/30 days to return starts until all the items that were part of that order are supplied.

You can cancel at any time ofc but the 14/30 days doesn't run out 14/30 days after part of your order is delivered, only 14/30 days after receipt of the final item that completes the order.

So I don't think your 14/30 days has actually started yet.

But I could be wrong. It's certainly worth checking out if you find yourself getting fed up and thinking of returning.

So I waited and then used live chat to explain that my order hadn't arrived and the ten working day delivery window had passed. I didn't ask for anything except that they chase it up for me.
I was told that because it had taken so long without arrival it was being classed as lost in transit and I was given the choice of refund or replacement. Obviously I took replacement since the deal was exceptional and I wouldn't be able to get it again at that price. (But who knows with HUKD)
A few minutes later a new one had been ordered for me and I've been told to expect details via email when it ships.
No fuss at all except the wait which seems reasonable given that they could have made me wait a full 30 days before doing anything.
That 30 days is the maximum amount of time they have to provide delivery of an order afaik based on the current regulations. It works both ways so I'm impressed with how they've handled it so far.
I only chased it up in the evening this past Friday so it's early days yet. I'm expecting confirmation in the next couple of days (since I assume they won't have processed the new order over the weekend) but I'll have to wait and see.
If I have any other issues I'll post here and let you know what, if anything I was able to do to get it sorted.

This was the sort of thing my brother and I had in mind. Of course the money wasn't ours to spend and it was only ever a pipe dream.
Now that I'm older and in charge of the money the outlook for a home full of networked gaming consoles hasn't improved much. ;)
That being said, I did convince myself a PS4 was a sound investment given the ability to be used as another sky box /bluray player etc... so maybe there's hope for me yet :)

An update.

I received email confirmation earlier today that my new order has been placed. They also chose a faster postage method than the original.

Maybe get on twitter as suggested above and air the problem publicly to speed them along a bit. It can't hurt to draw more attention to your order.
